Has your significant other ever yelled at you to get your dirty hunting clothes out of the bathroom when you return home? Do you leave your tools, greasy car parts, and other such items lying around the house on the furniture? Are your closets stuffed full of clothes that you will never fit into again? You probably already know that your closet is not the place where you should be storing all of the things that you never use. Your closet is where you should be keeping things that you use every day. So, where do you keep all of those things that you rarely use? You should be keeping them in your garage of course. This is because garages are now longer only used for cars. Today, tools are kept there and extra things are stashed there just in case.

There are many different types and sizes of garage storage. You can have a small shelf, a basket, or a cabinet attached to wall that you are not using, or you can go all out and get a really big cabinet that provides lots of storage space.
If you opt for a storage basket, you can place toys, sports equipment, and small miscellaneous tools inside of it. In other words, this is a great way to store anything that you want to put away without a fuss.
A garage storage shelf works well for storing items that will not fit inside of a conventional cabinet. These are things that you want to keep in immediate reach because you use them often.
Then you can always get a few storage cabinets. You can purchase pre-configured sets of 4, 6 or 10 cabinets. If you need more cabinets then all you have to do is add them.
So, once your closet is finally free from storing clothes that you are no longer wearing and your furniture has no messy tools laying on it, you and your significant other can finally stop fighting about not having enough space, or having things in places where they do not belong. As you can clearly see, using all of that unused space in the garage for storage is a great idea.
