Loft conversion is a common way to add space in our houses, but it’s usually more complicated to build than extensions.
A DIY loft conversion is a big project but it is do-able, especially for competent Do-It-Yourself enthusiasts. Before you start the project, make sure that you have planned every detail, and gained the correct planning permission or adhere to the building regulations.
Another important element is to give yourself plenty of time to finish the job. You can’t expect to finish such a big project within a very short period. Also, DIY doesn’t necessarily mean you will do everything by you own. You may want to contact a loft specialist or builders to do much or some of the work.
